Wiz Wants To Work With Nicki Minaj

While in the UK, Wiz told MTV.co.uk that he thinks Nicki Minaj is "awesome." When asked his opinion on Minaj, Wiz confessed: "She’s awesome. She’s a hard worker, she makes really good music and she’s really diverse which is important – not only in hip-hop but just in music in general."

The 23-year old continued: "You gotta be able to switch it up and you gotta be able to still be you and that’s what she’s able to do. I really respect that about her."

Congrats to Wiz on his recent nomination for this year's 2011 BET Award! Wiz has been nominated for the Chevy Cruz Best New Artist award, along with J. Cole, Bruno Mars, Miguel and Willow Smith. The winners will be announced LIVE on June 26th, at 8/7c!

Wiz Added to Bumbershoot Festival and FEST 2011

Wiz Khalifa has just been added to the performance roster for the upcoming Labor Day weekend music and arts Bumbershoot Festival. The event takes place Sept. 3-5 at the Seattle Center. The full line up will be announced June 1st. Special 'Insider Deal' $29 daily tickets are available for a limited time only at Bumbershoot.org. Wiz has also been added to the DePaul University music festival FEST 2011, which will be held May 27th in the quad. Tickets for FEST 2011 go on sale May 16th!

Girl Talk a 'Big Supporter' of Wiz Khalifa

"I love it. I've been a big supporter of Wiz for a while," Gillis told Billboard.com during a conference call to promote this year's Bonnaroo Music Festival. He and Khalifa are both on the bill for the fest's 10th annual edition in June. "I actually remember going to one of his shows in, like, 2005 and giving him a CDR burn of 'Night Ripper,' my record that came out in 2006, before it came out. So I've been going to his shows forever, and we've done a few shows together now in Pittsburgh and even outside, and we're doing a couple more this summer." - Billboard
